Originally built in 1850, Heath Cottage is a fine example of early Victorian architecture. The main Victorian residence and original coaching house have been sympathetically converted and extended whilst enhancing the original character and features. Several extensions and improvements have been built using original Victorian stone. The latest addition, the East Wing, was completed in 1996 using stone rescued from the demolition of a 19th century rag mill. The hotel also offers a charming patio and garden area—lovingly tendered—to ensure a beautiful, relaxing outdoor setting.
